Preparation of wall surfaces
1. Radiators do not need to be removed
2. Turn off radiators to avoid accidental burning to hands prior to fitting, allow to cool.
3. Prepare surface of wall where the panel is to be fitted, to ensure:
a) there is no flaky paint
b) that all wall paper is well stuck
c) the surface is not damp
Preparing the Panel
1. Measure height of radiator - If the panel needs to be shortened in height - apply tape provided to horizontal of section C of the flat section - cut panel using sharp kitchen scissors through the middle of the tape and over wrap section D ensuring that the fins line up and press into place see diagram below
2. Only Apply tape to horizontal section (C) if you need to shorten the height of the panel
3. Then Apply tape provided to horizontal section A and B First as indicated by the arrow
4. Apply tape to all vertical sections
5. Measure the distance between the wall mounted radiator brackets making sure the panel is 2mm less in width so that the panel will fit flush to the wall.
6. Measure the distance between the brackets and the outer edge of the radiator, at either end - choose which section of the panel is most suitable to be used.
Fitting the Quattro Panel
1. Have your sectional pieces ready - apply the middle section first
2. Peel back the protective backing tape
3. Slide the panel down the back of the radiator from the top end -unless access is restricted if this is the case slide up from underneath
4. Allow for the panel to be seated 20mm lower than the top of the radiator to be out of line of visual sight
5. Allow for the panel to be seated 10mm in from the edge of the radiator to be out of visual sight
The base section of the panel can be up to 40mm from the base of the radiator
6. Once fitted in place it is good practise to apply gentle pressure to the horizontal sections of A and B with your fingers and to apply pressure to the adhesive points on the vertical run. You may find a bamboo cane can be useful if run up & down several times.
You should now have successfully installed your panels.
